Staffing

FFS is proud to be paying their staff well over the national regulated industry rate in comparison to the rest of the industry. Thus enabling FFS to provide a higher standard of work and also ensuring a “No Strike” record and less absenteeism. We pride ourselves that we do not have 1 union member nationally.

This along with our in-house training systems, thorough screening processes, which includes references, medicals, criminal checks & police clearance enables us to ensure that our staff have a strong & positive work ethic, attention to detail, reliable & pleasant personas-demeanours with an un-paralleled level of respect for our clients & our sites.

Focus team

Our Focus FS team which is based in both Cape Town & Johannesburg personally handles all projects from beginning till completion / handovers as our personal touch is what gives us our competitive edge to our clients.

(Managing Director)

I ended up in this industry because it is very close to home. Having our Mom raise 4 kids as a cleaner, to put us through school, tertiary education and give us the platform she did with the job she had, made me want to create a difference in our industry.

Where the mindset of cleaners are changed, not just internally by them, our staff but externally as well, from suppliers and clients to society as a whole. Where we, as an organisation ensure our staffs’ uniforms, their responsibilities, their job titles, their training, their wages, their circumstances are different and that they are proud to be a cleaner and take pride in what they do because their job is just as important as anyone else’s.

Their role is important and that is what I aim to achieve, to create that awareness of the importance of our staff and too minimize that perception and judgement that they have had for years!

After over a decade working and excelling in the Freight industry, Mostly Airfreight exports, arguably one of the most time sensitive, 24/7, highly stressful jobs out there. I received a request from my mother to join the family business at a time when I was unparalleled in my field.

Hesitant at 1st I joined knowing that I could add the competitive corporate edge needed to help excel the company forward.

Working with labourers closely in the freight industry, I took my knowledge of staff management to employ a strategy of company betterment/improvement through the development, upliftment and overall better treatment of staff, within an industry known for its mistreatment and “throw-away’ approach of its workers. Knowing that this would be key in our success as a small SMME, in a very large majority conglomerate dominated industry.

This approach has stood us well as we have an extremely good disciplinary track/dismissal rate and majority of staff do not belong to any unions. I’ve become passionate about the Cleaning and Facilities industry, noting, understanding and making sure people, clients and potential client’s understand the important role we play of the smooth operating within the greater business sector.

Yes we are cleaners, but we are also front line specialists, Hygiene Specialists, Building Maintenance, Decontamination Specialists, Pest Control, Environmental Specialists, Floor Care, Carpet Care and Facilities assist. The goals I envision for our company is to service and supply our client’s way beyond their expectations and at a higher level than expected 24/7. We pride ourselves on the relationships built with our clientele and it is shown by the longevity of our contracts and business relationships. A key factor in this is our direct availability to clients, direct management.

With more than 12 years in the cleaning industry, I was privileged enough to be able to start from the ground up. By doing this I was able to learn and understand day- to day operations first hand as well as the daily challenge’s the staff faces every day.
