Deep Cleaning Project – May 2020
The deep cleaning of 137 post offices project, took place beginning of May 2020, during level 5 lockdown was by far, one of the best and largest projects we have completed to date.
Lead by MD, Robyn London who headed this project along with both Cape Town and Johannesburg teams, we completed the deep cleaning of the post offices across the Western Cape which included the Eden Karoo, Overberg, Cape Winelands and Atlantic Seacoast areas, totaling in 74 post office deep cleans within 2 weeks, before it re-opened to the public. With this project, we created 210 jobs during a very difficult economic time.
After completing the Western Cape, we were asked to do the deep cleaning of all the Northern Cape post offices as well, which included the Diamond Fields and Kalahari area totaling in 63 post offices, which was also completed within 2 weeks. The area coverage was so huge but we managed to completed the project, well within our initial time frame. With the cleaning of these post offices, we created over 200 jobs in this region.
One of the main reasons we took this project on was because of how COVID hit us as a nation and as professionals in the cleaning industry, we saw it as a good opportunity and platform to train communities from these outer regions to practice better and proper hygiene in the correct manner and to pass and use what we taught them to.
